"I thought this was somewhat simple. Fruity, more like a gamay than a cab franc."

"Running around $15 a bottle, this is a heckuva good deal. The winery says that they made the deepest possible wine by selecting only their best vats. I don't know that depth is the issue here, though. The wine has plenty of depth for what it is, but what it is about---is exuberant, flavorful fruit that drips over your palate for every second. There is some brightness on the finish, and it gives the otherwise soft and fruity wine some liveliness. Delectable, supple and drinking well now. This is not their most profound wine, but it is too good to pass up. 88-90 points.
