"89-91 points: Grandes Murailles has been producing beautiful wines over the last half dozen or so vintages. Their dense purple-colored 2001 exhibits aromas of blueberry liqueur, acacia flowers, minerals, and subtle wood. Sweet, opulent, medium to full-bodied, pure, and harmonious, it should be stunning young, yet age impeccably for 12-15 years." Best 2005-2017

"92-94 points: This château continues to make better and better wine. A wine with lots of chocolate, mineral and tobacco character. Full-bodied, with lots of ripe berry and raspberry character, soft tannins and a fruity finish."
