"In 1949, when Henri Pradère bought Hortevie, the vineyard was overgrown and useless. Replanted then, the vines have now an average age of 57 years, yielding small harvests of perfectly mature grapes, phenologically entirely ripe and complex. Balanced and easy to reach, it has a delicate fresh taste that holds up the fruit above the grainy tannins which need time to soften and play their role. Very promising, a beauty in the making. Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot Aroma: Notes of rose petals and summer dessert Taste: Complex, rich fruit, good depth and intensity Serve: 19º C Evolution: Will continue to develop Ideal with: Beef tenderloin steaks with port-rosemary sauce"

"Color: evolved; Nose: corky; Aromas: dried fruit; Acidity: flat; Sweetness: dry; Body: thin; Finish: short; this bottle will be for beef stew
something is wrong with this bottle - way out of balance and unpleasant. Thin and watery - blach!
Opened another bottle - it was fine"
