"Gorgeous, knock-out aromas emerge from the 2007 Barbaresco Rabaja. Ripe, candied cherries, flowers and minerals emerge seamlessly in the glass, revealing gorgeous inner perfume. In 2007 the Rabaja possesses a touch more textural richness and body than is typically the case, but without abandoning what remains a classic, mid-weight style. This is a terrific showing from Cortese."

"The cask-aged 2001 Barbaresco Rabaja is very spiced on the nose, with a balsamic character that gradually reveals itself as the wine sits in the glass. Though somewhat shut down today, it displays plenty of dark fruit and outstanding structure, with a gorgeous note of menthol on the fresh finish. It will require at least a few years of bottle aging prior to offering its best drinking."

"94 pts - Highly Recommended - Best wine ever from Cortese
"Intense aromas of very ripe fruit, with hints of raisin and meat. Full-bodied, chewy and powerful, with masses of fruit and firm tannins. A blockbuster.""
