3.5 stars "Pale yellow color. Aromatic nose with expansive fruity and floral notes. On the palate, quite full with some good acidity and ripe fruit flavors. Does not have the minerality of a Loire Chenin Blanc but nevertheless, very pleaant."

"Loire Valley wine fans have long known the heights that chenin blanc can soar. It's a grape producing hauntingly flavored dry and sweet wines that bring to mind apples ripening in the summer sun, honeysuckle and cool melon balanced by a naturally high acid content. Whoa! Vinum's chenin comes from Clarksburg, just west of Sacramento, where one finds a microclimate kept cool by breezes from both the Bay and the Sierras. Who would have though it? The perfect home for chenin! This is old-vine fruit, intense as it is delightful. Try chenin again, for the very first time."
