"Its bouquet reveals notions of spicy new oak along with chocolate, black currants, cherries, licorice, and tar. Deep, full-bodied, and layered, with a supple texture, it should drink well for 5-7 years. 90 Points."

"This wine is a clone of the 1999 vintage that we loved so much! The flavors may actually be a little deeper. The complex nose holds aromas of ripe fruit and spicy oak. The flavors remind us of the raisiny sweetness of Amerone along with smooth tannins to balance out the blackberry and cherry flavors. Another winner from Allegrini. 90 Points."

"Lots of black fruit, violet and mineral character. Full-bodied, with densely packed fruit on a rounded, expansive palate, with well-integrated tannins and a long, fruity, minerally finish. Delicious now, but should open up even more. A great value at this score. Best after 2004. 22,500 cases made. (JS)"
