5 stars "It was a special night. The line-up of wines included Cristal 1990, Krug 1990, Louis Latour's Corton Charlemagne 1998, Leoville Poyferre 82 & the Lafite 86. The lafite was the simply sublime. None of the over-extracted nonsense. Sheer class & nobility in a glass. The acidity, tannin & fruit were perfectly balanced. It accompanied the veal cheek perfectly. Bravo. Wish I had the foresight to buy more when it was half the current market value. "

2 stars " A dry austere leafy nose. Palate has less body than Latour or Mouton but is not undrinkable. The fruits are drying rapidly but there is still a certain breed and quality here. Past his best but warrants a little more than a paltry 60 points from Mr Parker." Best 1980-2000
