"Ripe and raisiny on the nose, with floral and mineral notes. Full-bodied, with thick, raisiny fruit, fine fruit-coated tannins and a long mineral finish. Best after 2007. 12,000 cases made. –JC

"This Amarone has a deep pomegranate color with very high clarity, accompanied by herbal and dark fruit scents. The palate is balanced and delicious, with mainly flavors of black cherry, wild cherry, raison, and a slight hint of candied apple. I know this is not a wine that most of us can afford to drink every day - but don't we wish we could - however, it is worth seeking out and holding for those special occasions when good just isn't good enough and you need something "great". Well, here it is, a truly great wine from Italy. Salute!"
