"Color: deep; Nose: complex; Aromas: black berry; Acidity: supple; Sweetness: dry; Body: medium-bodied; Finish: persistent; Overall: well balanced; Lovely brambley fruit, ripe and generous, with a touch of tar - or is it licorice? - lurking in the background. As we didn't finish this over lunch, we continued 48 hours later: a bit drier and smokey, but nevertheless extremely good (with sausages)."
