"Master winemaker Andrew Rich left a successful career as a magazine editor to enroll in wine school in Burgundy, where his inspiration for this terroir-driven Pinot Noir began. Stints at a few of American's finest estates including Bonny Doon and Ponzi furthered his fascination with the grape. This 2003 Pinot offers earthy notes of black mushrooms and truffles along with a bright core of red cherry fruit and an admirable balance between acid and ripeness."
