"I thougt this was pleasing enough, but in a sweet, very fruity, typical modern style sort way. It wasn't flabby, but kind of boring in a way though. Perfectly fine for grilling out I suppose."

"Color: deep; Aromas: red berry; Acidity: supple; Sweetness: dry; Body: full-bodied; Finish: persistent; Overall: well balanced; Supple with a cherry nose and a full, well-rounded mouth feel. Tannins are well balanced; this wine has a long, seductive finish. I agree with all of the previous comments, especiallt WE's 90 pts."

"90pts, Editors' Choice, Wine Enthusiast, November 1, 2005
"From vineyards in Lodi and Contra Costa County, an enormously enjoyable Zin that shows its hot climate origins, but maintains balance and integrity. The cassis, cherry, chocolate and oatmeal-raisin cookie flavors finish in a swirl of acidity and dusty tannins." -S.H.
93, Nat Decants, Vintages Release December 2005
" Sourced primarily from the old vineyards in the sandy soil of Oakley and blended with fruit from other vineyards in Lodi, this Zin is made in a very ripe and full-bodied style with lots of berry and plummy fruit as well as leather and earthy notes. Delicious now, it offers amazing value and will continue to develop further with 3-5 years cellaring. My note: Love it! So balanced yet bursting with berry flavor. Lip-smacking great.""

"http://www.sommelierguild.com/content/view/27/42/: The Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel 2004 was another big one with an in-your-face sweet cherry fruit and florals. This was delicious with good acid, tannins, and a long finish."
