94 points "The 2009 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard reveals a medium ruby color with purple nuances that is clearly less saturated than the 2008 or 2007 Pinot Noirs. A powerful perfume of spice box, subtle oak, damp earth, red and black currants, pomegranate and sweet strawberries is followed by a broad, flavorful red that is ideal for drinking over the next 4-5 years. 93 points "The 2010 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard comes across as very tight, but then opens up, with plums, black cherries, tar, minerals and licorice some of the nuances taking shape in the glass. The 2010 UV needs another year or two in bottle at the very least. There is an element of unrestrained wildness that runs through the 2010 UV. The heavy presence of clay in this site comes through in the wine’s broad-shouldered personality." Best 2014-2020
