"This very rich and extracted Petite Sirah shows ripe brambly blackberries, violets and vanilla in the bouquet. The flavors are dark chocolate, currants, and creamy blackberries. A very long aftertaste of cocoa and currants is evident. This is not just Petite Sirah, but an experience. The grapes for this very rich and exotic Petite Sirah come from a steep hillside vineyard located nearly 1,200 feet above Lake Sonoma in Northern Dry Creek Valley. It is planted to a 90-year-old clone of Petite Sirah, which likes the elevation, soil, and climate of this hillside region. The wine has been aged in new French and American oak barrels for 14 months."
