93 points "By Stephen Tanzer Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/Jun 06 ($70) Good bright, pale yellow. Subdued but pure aromas of peach, nectarine, orange rind, rose petal and lichee. Although rather backward, this began suppler than the Carriere despite conveying an impression of solid acidity. Very dry and sophisticated chardonnay with excellent length. I found myself raising my score every time I went back to this wine, which gained sweetness with aeration. 93(+?) points "

91 points "The 2010 Chardonnay Belle-Cote is a gorgeous, symmetrical wine with no beginning and no end. Sweet floral notes, licorice, mint and lemon are some of the nuances that emerge from this textured, graceful wine. The finish turns intensely aromatic and expressive. Here, too, there is considerable weight in the glass. (91-94)." Best 2015-2030

98 points "98-100pts. A potentially perfect wine is the 2012 Chardonnay Belle Cote (nearly 2,500 cases produced). While the yields were high in 2012, the quality was off the charts. Abundant floral, caramelized pear, lychee nut and pineapple aromas jump from the glass of this stunning Chardonnay along with good minerality, a full-bodied mouthfeel and super purity as well as texture. Between 40% and 60% new French oak is used, but the wood component is completely obscured by the wine’s density. It should drink well for 5-7 years. "
