"Color: deep; Nose: fragrant; Aromas: mineral, floral, woody, tree fruit; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: firm; Finish: medium; Overall: pleasant; Drank on 9/5/2009: At or past peak, but a fabulous surprise... chocolate, smoky coffee, roses and shoe polish on the nose. Big cherry burst, common to CA, followed by red raspberry, licorice and chocolate. Good tannins kept the ride going with berry, coffee and mint. Interestingly chewy mouth feel and citrus tang lasted much longer than I'd expect from a 7 yr old merlot."
