"Is Croatia the final frontier in European wine? It's certainly been making wine for a while, even while we American wine drinkers stayed pretty much in the dark. Produced by the Bibich Winery in Skradin, this wine offers an eclectic blend of grapes native to Northern Dalmatia (Babich, Plavina, Lasin) that are related to Zinfandel (itself a Croatian varietal). Aged for one year in American Oak. Light, smooth, with lively acids and aromas of dark fruits, spices and black pepper. Serve with meats, tuna and cheese. "
