"Pinot Noir 2002 is wonderfully fragrant, with black-doris plum, cherries/red fruits, and dark chocolate/dusty cocoa notes. There are hints of leather and sweet tobacco with a generous dollop of exotic spice - cloves, 5-spice, vanilla. Silky, satiny textured, it is a supple and feminine wine, with a lingering, flavoursome finish.
We recently held a ten year vertical tasting - Pinots from 1994 through to 2003. In general the wines are ageing beautifully for at least 5 years and start to show the truffley, gamey, forest floor complexities after two or three."
