"Very precise, with a beam of green almond, fig pear tartine and green tea flavors that races to a long, perfumy finish. Concentrated but elegant, with impressive length. Singing today, but fine for cellaring as well. Francois Chidaine, 39, founded his domaine in 1989 with an initial purchase of 12 acres of vines. Today, the domaine consists of 44 acres of vines, along with additional rented vineyards in both Montlouis and Vouvray. Montlouis is the overlooked sibling of better-known Vouvray, employing Chenin Blanc to make sparkling, dry, off-dry and sweet wines. Chidaine's Les Choisilles cuvée is vinified dry, and sourced from several different parcels. Drink now through 2011.""
