"Highly Recommended 5/15/04
A magnificent wine that shows massive structure yet loads of finesse. Dark-colored, with incredible aromas of blackberries, treacle tart and smoke. Almost meaty. Full-bodied, with fantastic silky and rich tannins. Goes on and on. Fanti is now one of the greatest producers of Brunello thanks to the help of consulting enologist Stefano Chioccioli. Best after 2008. 3,080 cases made. (JS)
