"Tasting Note
A blend of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, merlot and malbec. It's been one the true quality hits of the past handful of years. Serious wine. Muscular, dense and interesting. It tastes unusual, too: of black olives and nuts, chocolate and hung game. There's a good slip of refreshing acidity and lots of drying tannin; in fact, some might find the tannin too much. Personally I love the complexity of it. Drink: 2011-2015. Score - 91+. (Campbell Mattinson, www.winefront.com.au, Aug. 18, 2009)
