"Tasting Note
Deep garnet, full-bodied, with deep but soft tannins that coat the palate gently. Made from indigenous Refosco and Carmenere grapes, made by partly drying the grapes in the appassimento method, a gentle but mouth-filling wine showing wild berries, currants and appealing roast herbal and vegetal notes on the long finish. At its best with game meats and cheeses. Drinking nicely now but best 2012-2018. Score - 91. (Daniel Rogov, www.haaretz.com, June 16, 2010)
