"Amfora is a modern wine made by an ancient method. Local varieties Rebula 60% Malvasia 20% and Sauvignonasse 20% are fermented and aged in buried 3000 liter clay Kvevri (Amphora) for 10 months on the skins with no sulfur, then racked into oak tank for aging without the skins for an additional 12, and finally in bottle for 12 months before release. Amfora is aromatic and complex, even young it exudes scents of citrus, tea leaf and spices of the East, as if fully mature, deep textured and slightly tannic it should be paired with sophisticated dishes ranging from seafood to fawn. "
