"I much prefer this style of Corbieres from Les Clos Perdus... far more restrained and easier to drink. The nose is well defined with strawberry, black tea, a touch of rosemary and thyme, the fruit dialled down a few notches. The palate is medium bodied and light on its feet, fine tannins, an edgy bitterness that lends it tension and freshness. Harmonious with raspberry, a touch of black pepper and garrigues towards the finish. Excellent. Drink now-2013."

"Prioundo contains 70% Grenache, 30% Cinsault from vineyards in the Corbières hills, near the village of Villesèque. Intensive green work including de-budding, leaf removal and some green harvesting was required for the Cinsault vines. This enabled the berries to reach an excellent level of ripeness with a good balance of acidity. The juice had three days of maceration before the spontaneous fermentation started. After spending 21 days on the skins the juice was pressed and placed in stainless steel where it under went malo-lactic fermentation. 14.5% abv."
