"The 2009 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard, which comes from a clone from one of Burgundy’s most famous Vosne-Romanee vineyards as well as the Calera clone, exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, a cool climate, raspberry and red cherry-scented bouquet, hints of bluer fruits in the mouth, lots of depth and richness, and good acidity, spice and elegance. This medium to full-bodied 2009 is not as powerful and rich as the 2008 and 2007, and in that sense it is more Burgundian texturally and weight-wise."

"The 2009 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard emerges from the glass with freshly cut flowers, spices, tar, black cherries and plums. High-toned floral notes add lift and brightness throughout. Hints of sweet herbs and tobacco wrap around the finish. The Reuling is planted with the Calera clone and a suitcase clone from Vosne-Romanee, which in this vintage seems to give the wine an exotic, spiced dimension that is totally intriguing."
