89 points "Color: deep; Nose: complex; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: full-bodied; Finish: medium; Overall: bold; 1/2 hr decant, continued to open nicely in the glass. Seemed weary after a while."

91 points "85% grenache and 15% mourvedre. Deep red. Seductive raspberry, potpourri, smoked meat and Asian spice aromas expand with air, picking up a subtle mineral quality. Deep, chewy red fruit flavors stain the palate, with fine-grained tannins providing shape. Seems to gain freshness with air, finishing sweet and with a refreshing snap of tangy minerals."

87 points "Dough and sweet earth notes lend a slightly firm feel to the roasted plum and currant fruit, which runs through the finish, but turns rigidly tannic. A bit of a gamble to see if it will soften before the fruit fades. Drink now through 2016. 20,000 cases made." Best -2016
