92 points "Deep, inky ruby. Powerful, superripe aromas of kirsch, blackcurrant and chocolate, complemented by exotic spices and licorice. Rich, creamy and dense, with sweet red and dark fruit flavors framed by chewy tannins. The sweetness builds on the finish, which features a late-arriving note of floral pastille."

93 points "The Wine Advocate - 91-94 points. On the other hand, the 2009 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde is brilliant. It was scheduled to be bottled several days after my visit in late October. A deep plum/ruby/purple color is accompanied by notes of toast, bacon fat, raspberries and black cherries intermixed with hints of roasted coffee and new saddle leather. Rich, medium to full-bodied, fleshy and silky-textured, it is already hard to resist, and should continue to drink well for 10-15 years. (12/ 2012)" Best 2015-2023

88 points "The flattering, soft 2000 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde lacks the concentration and depth of its older sibling. Nevertheless, it is a good effort in a year when dilution was clearly a problem. It should be drunk during its first 5-7 years of life." Best 2003-2010
