"There is good concentration and freshness, great fruit and richness, but not at this stage, quite the length or finish to put it up with the very top wines."

"A big time sleeper of the vintage, Clos Haut Peyraguey’s 2001 exhibits abundant amounts of Grand Marnier-like orange flavors intermixed with creme brulee, melted caramels, and hints of pineapples and apricots. Full-bodied, sweet, long, and well-defined, it should drink well for 15+ years."

"Golden glowing colour with syrupy apperance, closed nose with slight oak nuances, honey pineapples noble rot and slight oak in the taste with fine acidity and a touch of smoke. Needs time to reach perfection . "
