91 points "The 2005 Cerro Anon Reserva is a similar blend to the Crianza but aged in barrel for 20 months. Sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, mineral, and espresso notes inform the nose of this savory, mouth-filling, dense, succulent offering. Give it 2-3 years of additional cellaring to fully blossom and drink it through 2020, if not longer. It is a remarkable value in traditional Rioja. Bodegas Olare was founded in 1973 and is located in the heart of the Denominacion de Origen Calificada Rioja on the outskirts of Logrono. Stephen Tanzer -- 90pts Vivid ruby. Dried cherry, redcurrant and vanilla on the nose, with spice and mineral notes adding complexity. Deeply pitched redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are lifted by zesty acidity and pick up spiciness with air. Shows very good depth and power but this is also taut and lithe. Sweet red fruits linger on the long, spicy, mineral-accented finish." Best 2012-2020
