" The Sycamore Vineyard is located about 1.5 miles south of Bosché, also nestled up to the western Mayacamas hills. The soil is quite different in that it is more of a gravelly clay loam. The first two feet of soil is rich clay loam, and then it changes to hard pan clay. At about the same elevation as Bosché, the water experience is relatively the same, allowing this vineyard to be virtually dry-farmed as well. The wines from this vineyard are always very dark in color with rich briary black current and blackberry flavors. Cabernet franc and merlot from the vineyard complete the blend for ths intruiging wine. Aged in oak barrels for two years and at least two years in the bottle before release."
