"Shy on nose and slightly shy on pallet for what it is; a truely big wine (mostly Syrah) after over an hour open both nose and pallet opens. Drinks very well now with proper decant."

"There are 1,000 cases of the blockbuster 2004 Estate Cuvee. It reminded me of the 2005 L’Evangile ... on steroids. A dense inky/purple color, great fruit purity, and abundant aromas of acacia flowers, blackberries, cassis, and blueberries are found in this beauty along with a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, and wood, and a finish that lasts over 60 seconds. The result is a profound wine that must be tasted to be believed. This is a brilliant wine from a Frenchman who has captured the magic of Paso Robles.

"Very ripe and plush, with lots of vivid blackberry, wild berry and blueberry flavors that are dense and concentrated, bordering on thick. The tannins are ripe and integrated, and this shows a touch of heat on the finish. Still, there's a lot to like in this blockbuster. Drink now through 2011. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 300 cases made. –JL
