95 points "The 2007 Barolo Vigneto Rocche dazzles from start to finish with intricate layers of perfumed fruit that build in the glass. Juicy red cherries, French oak, tar and licorice emerge over time, adding further complexity. The wine’s considerable concentration pairs beautifully with the classic silky Rocche tannins. With a little more refined cooperage this might have been an utterly mind-blowing wine; the purity of the fruit is that profound. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027. Father and son team Andrea and Fabio Oberto have crafted some of the most exquisite wines of their careers with these sublime 2007 Baroli. From top to bottom these are superb wines I can’t recommend highly enough." (WA) "Very good full red. Very pure aromas of raspberry, rose petal, licorice and spices. Juicy and youthfully unevolved, with ripe acidity and lovely depth. More backward than the Brunate, showing a classic menthol element and a light touch. The ripe, building tannins give this wine a firm underlying spine: give it at least five more years in the cellar." (IWC) "There’s a special elegance and finesse evident in this pretty expression of Nebbiolo. Fine aromas of cola, white cherry and black pepper are featured on the bouquet. In the mouth, this Barolo delivers strength, structure and endurance. " (WE) Winery Notes: Intense ruby-red hue with light garnet reflections. Oaky notes perfectly blending in a flowery, spicy aroma make the wine extremely fine and balanced. Evident tannic sensations in mouth, which are unusual in the Barolo wines from Rocche dell’Annunziat" Best 2017-2027
