"Robert Parker 94: A new winery for this writer, Gamba has produced two impressive Zinfandels. The 2004 Zinfandel Old Vine (15.7% alcohol), a blend of 96% Zinfandel and 4% Petite Sirah, possesses a deep ruby/purple color as well as notes of black currants, plums, and briery mountain fruit. With medium to full body, good sweetness, impressive texture, well-integrated acidity and wood, and a long, heady finish, this is a classic Zinfandel to drink over the next 4-5 years.
