"Dense purple intensity defines the 2002 Napa Valley La Sonrisa del Tecolote Cabernet Sauvignon. The color is dark and bright, leggy and elegant in the glass. The nose is bold and provides a window into the flavors that are to follow. This wine is brimming with cassis and tobacco. With hints of sweet cedar, plum and a nuance of coffee and chocolate spice in the aroma, there is the expectation of well matched texture and intensity in the palate. The mouth feel is full of soft tannins that linger on the palate softly and blanket the wine’s seemingly sweet and elegantly crafted lasting finish."
