" This unpronounceable winery is one of the oldest in South Africa, certainly the oldest in the Franschhoek Valley. Tiny amounts of this old-vine Semillon (from vines around 100 years of age) are produced each year (600 cases total), and even tinier amounts end up here in California. With a creamy palate and a lemon-zest-like finish, this is one of the most interesting varietal Semillons in the world. It is fermented in new French oak, but has more than enough fruit and body to cope with the wood influence. Though exquisite now, this wine has the potential to age and age and age."
