"It isn't often that one gets completely surprised by a wine, yet this "Outis" (nobody) stunned me. On the slopes of Sicily's Mount Etna in amazingly difficult growing conditions this blend of Sicily's indigenous grape varieties 80% Nerello Mascalese, 20% Nerello Cappuccio produces something that is absolutely breathtaking. Sicily is undergoing a "BOOM" in wine interest and they are producing wines of real character and many like this one have real terroir, that's the character of the place they come from. Now if you're going to being looking for thick, dark colored wines that smell like cherry Jell-O, this isn't for you. This wine has delicacy, balanced, lighter in color, but so full of flavor and aromatics it is amazing. You must try this wine! (Greg St. Clair, K&L Italian buyer)"

"medium red, slightly brown color, and a fragrant nose of sweet cherry liqueur and coffee. On the palate, dry, tannic attack and a nice mix of aromatic herbs and vanilla on the finish. Very distinctive."
