86 Points, $16.00
Laurence Feraud of Domaine du Pegau, is the mastermind of this wonderful wine. Primarly Grenache with Carignan, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet, many of our customers consider the Plan Pegau a ‘baby’ Chateauneuf du Pape. In fact, the Lot #2004 actually contains a percentage of declassified 2002 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape! The complex nose is reminiscent of it’s more noble cousin and the medium bodied palate is equally complex.
This is a versatile wine that complements a wide range of foods, ranging from asian cuisine to simply grilled meats, but nothing works quite so well as a well seasoned pork roast."
