" The nose leaps out with aromas of lemons, citrus fruits and floral scents. The palate is a dizzying kaleidoscope of flavors: pineapples, white peaches, ripe pears, quince paste, white pepper and hints of anise. The taste seemed to subtlety change with each forthcoming sip. The finish was long, lingering and mouthwatering. At this price, I can think of no better introduction to the glories Grüner Veltliner can reach. The Türk estate is situated in the idyllic Stratzing region of the Krems Valley, 70 km west of Vienna. This family operation traces its wine making roots back to the early 1700s and acquired it present domain in 1836.
