" Extraordinary wine from Domaine Leflaive. It is very rich, very concentrated and shows lots of power at the finish. The thing that struck most forcefully when I tasted it at the domaine, though, was the focus, intensity and sheer power of this wine. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Wines)92-95 Points Burghound: "(from a small .08 ha parcel on the Chassagne side worked only by horse). Considerably more reserved than the Chevalier with intense, powerful fruit and taut, almost muscular flavors that offer remarkable depth and concentration yet no lack of finesse or precision. There is a solid acidic structure that is perfectly integrated and the finish is long and lingering. This exudes breed and it is a stunning combination of power, elegance, intensity, depth and the sap both stains and coats the palate. A very fine effort, especially in the context of the vintage and a wine that will reward amply 10 plus years of cellaring and should live for 20."
