" Meaty and toasty, pure and fruity, but a bit less of a sense of terroir than the other 2002 Grands Cru from this domaine. This comes from the portion of the Clos just below the wall, in the NW corner, as close to Musigny as you can be in Clos Vougeot. Definitely shows much more black fruit notes than the Echezeaux, and is spicier, darker and lingers on the palate. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer, 06/04)"
