"As you may already know, St. Aubin is the village adjacent to both Chassagne Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet. Of course, it is much less famous, and much less expensive than either. This vineyard is on a southwest facing hillside just above the RN6, the old road from Paris to Lyon, before the autoroute was built. These days it is a quiet little 2 lane road that runs past Le Montrachet and Criots Batard, just a half mile before it passes Chatenière. The wine has a leesy nose, with a buttery, toasty note. On the palate it is supple and charming, with fairly evident toasty oak, a bit of butterscotch, and a rich finish. This is not built for aging, but for drinking and enjoying. Only a special import makes this price possible. Rovani mentions this in his Fenruary 2004 edition od Parker's Wine Advocate, and gives it 88 points. (Ketih Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer, 03/04)"

4 stars "I really enjoyed this wine: aromatic nose with citrus notes and minerals, fresh and crisp on the palate. It is not too oaky nor buttery. A delicious wine."
