"As many of you know, this vineyard is home to one of our favorite values. It is located above Chevalier-Montrachet, Grand Cru, and is immediately next to Puligny Montrachet, "Champs Gain," 1er Cru. Since it is on the wrong side of the invisible dotted line from Puligny, it sells for about 1/2 of the price of a fancier name. It is mineral driven, focused and intense. On the nose it shows floral notes, and on the palate it shows lots of richness in the middle. This is a steal, made possible by our direct import.In fact, I lked it so much that I purchased 2 of the 5 barrels they produced! This is the finest St. Aubin from Champy in the years we have been importing it.
