" The Pommards did not suffer the hail damage so prevalent in Volnay. Etienne de Montille has done a brilliant job in managing tannins in this vintage, and making wines that express what they should. I found the Grands Epenots to be particularly fleshy and charming, with depth and richness, which almost hides focus and structure.
