" Denis is a dedicated young grower in the town of Vergisson. He cares intensely about the qualoity of his wines, and has been driven to expand his domaine, a tiny bit at a time, as he can afford to do so. He has built a small Gite, or vacation home for rent, over his new little winery and is moving ahead. He uses about 20% new wood in the production of his Pouilly Fuissé, which is his top wine. The result is a terroir-focused Pouilly, from the rocky slopes of the Roche de Vergisson, with wonderful minerality combined with ripe, toasty oak notes and a long finish with bright fruit.
