"Dark, dense and peppery, with a bay leaf edge to the brooding black cherry and licorice flavors. Firm tannins don't cover the cherry flavor as it persists on the finish. So tightly wound it needs several years to start showing what it really has. Best from 2008 through 2020. 230 cases made. (HS)"

"Opened, splash decanted and drank over the next 3 days. Best on 1st pour and the last day. Super big and extracted but contained and fairly complex. Super sweet supple tannins, and very contained alcohol. I feel this is an early drinker, and given the way it is, why wait? Drink over the next 3 years."
