"Drinks well. Nice black fruits on the nose. Same, but jammy, on the palate. A good solid Thursday wine."

“Ruby-red. Subdued cherry and plum on the nose, which opens slowly to
show bitter chocolate and candied licorice. Tangy, youthfully taut dark
berry flavors possess good energy and cut but seem a tad clenched now.
Will this gain in flesh with a bit of time in bottle?”

“Straightforward and drinking well now, this is a cut above most at this price
point. Medium to full bodied and nicely textured, the aromas are quite
expressive with mocha, tobacco and rich dark berry fruit. This theme
repeats in the flavour profile with dark chocolate and boysenberry, cassis
and black raspberry—thankfully, no tobacco—along with hints of tar and
spice. Ripe tannin adds structure and there's good tang for balance. Pair this
with grilled lamb tenderloins.”

“Grant Burge makes one of the most reliable and distinctive Shirazes in the
otherwise boring and overcrowded $15-and-under category. It comes at you
with smooth, medium-intense raspberry and cherry flavors, but then finishes
with a deeper, richer, stewed fruit effect and a dose of black pepper. If
you’re making beef or lamb stew this fall, spriRef: http://blogs.usatoday.com/cheers/2007/09/dont-take-it-fo.html?csp=34

“If there is one Australian Shiraz producer that continues to set the bar of
quality, it would be Grant Burge. Now with a twist off cap, this wine is even
better. Hints of mint and luscious fruit flavors…”

“Grant Burge wines have improved significantly in the past decade, and
these are wonderful values. The Barossa Vines bottling (screw cap) is full
bodied and fruity in style, with some richness, good balance, light oakiness,
and a long finish, tasting of boysenberry, toast, and black licorice.” "
