"Straw yellow in color, this rich though balanced Gewurz offers a nose of ripe fruits, grape jam and spices, with a warmth on the palate and layers of exotic fruit blanketing the mouth. Delicious with smoked salmon, strong cheeses or as an opulent though dry aperitif. The Eichberg Grand Cru faces southeast and benefits from the warm & dry microclimate generated by its location at the base of the Vosges Mountains. The soils are mainly limestone conglomerates and marls with lots of broken sandstone mixed with clay and sand and small stones. Only Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer are permitted in this Grand Cru."
