90 points "Clean and very focused aromas of blackberries, raspberries and cherries follow through to a full-bodied palate, with firm and chewy tannins and a licorice, mineral aftertaste. Needs bottle time. Best after 2008. 1,800 cases made. (JS)" Best 2008-

93 points " This Barbaresco offers lovely overall balance, with well-integrated tannins and superb purity. Today the wine is bursting with primary fruit and needs at least a few years in bottle to develop its tertiary aromas and flavors. This is a terrific effort from Paitin. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025. Score - 93. (Antonio Galloni,, Oct. 2008) " Best 2010-2022

94 points "Power and elegance meld together gracefully in the 2010 Barbaresco Sori' Paitin. This is another huge wine loaded with fruit, structure and phenomenal balance. Sweet red cherries, flowers and cinnamon emerge over time, but the 2010 stands out most for its exceptional pedigree and pure class. Striking in every way, the 2010 is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030." Best 2020-2030
