3 stars "Decent wine that went well for later in the night - tasted like a half way decent merlot"

4.5 stars "Color: deep; Nose: fragrant; Aromas: woody, sweet, black berry; Acidity: supple; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: medium-bodied; Finish: medium; Overall: elegant; Absolutely Fabulous for a $20 bottle of Merlot. Could easily be mistaken for a bottle 4 times the price! Big, Thick Fruit with a touch of chocolate sweetness. Warm oaky aroma, again with a touch of chocolate. Juicy on the tongue with a long savory finish asking for another sip."

"A stellar example of why Rutherford Hill is king of the Merlot world, the 2004 vintage is rich with aromas of berries and cocoa. Flavors of dark cherries and chocolate abound in this soft and fleshy, balanced Merlot. The finish is silky and lingering with a hint of vanilla, cinnamon and tobacco. Delicious, alone as an aperitif, as well as when paired with hearty foods like roasts, lamb and steak."
