"Pale yellow color. Grass and grapefruit on the nose. Dry with a lively acidity on the palate. Crisp and mineral finish. A wine to drink with shellfish."

"Ripe and juicy, with peach, grapefruit and floral notes that stay bright and refreshing on the finish. Nicely done. Drink now."

"On west-facing hills eight kilometers from the coast north of Cape Town this vineyard in Groenekloof grows a rich yet tightly built sauvignon. Lasting notes of gooseberry citrus rind and pungent herbs cut the density of the wine as fat as a scallop ready to freshen a plate of them seared. "

"Aromatic nose combines citrus skin, pear, grass, gooseberry and mint. Juicy, dense and rather subtle, with firm acids giving shape to rich flavors of citrus fruit, minerals and mint. Still tightly wound and a tad metallic. Finishes impressively long, subtle and dense. Very good for 2004 sauvignon."
