"Stands out at the top of the classification, as it does for being the first Primeur sample of Yquem ever to be shown. This wine is simply 'hors classe'. The final blend has 13.5% alcohol and 129 grams per litre of residual sugar, with marked acidity of 4.8g/litre. It is 65% Sémillon to 35% Sauvignon instead of the traditional 80%/20%. The wine is explosively perfumed and unctuous. On the palate it is very long with superb complex textures and opulent richness, power and beauty. The sample is only indicative as the assemblage is not complete. (19.5 points)"
